Draging open windows from one WS to another not succed

#1 Post by harrykar »

Lastly seems something has changed in system(cause updates?) and applications windows (when dragged with touchpad) become full screen when touch the up part of screen like bounce off a wall, and they stop at the window header in the down part of the srceen.
Till the other day they crossed trough workspaces.
Am I or you also notice that behaviour?

QSI please.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

I havent noticed any change here, (But I have had only limited time on mx23 with dual monitors in the last week - and I never run more than one workspace.)

MX Tweak | Window Manager | Advanced Tab is where the Snapping and Workspace settings are - you might try playing a bit with them. Default I believe is off on screen edge Wrap.
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer

FYI – MX-21.3 Xfce, Window Manager Tweaks → Accessibility has some tile and MAYBE edge resistance window snapping that MAY be relevant – unfamiliar with MX-23.

Yep tick With a dragged window does the trick. Thank you
AFAIK I hadn't touched that setting. The only changes I remember did last days was install new Licq kernel from repo and sporadic automatic updates from updater.
Since Mx's installation till few days ago i remember that feature was enabled.

Did it again(mean I noticed right now) and as previously I'm pretty sure did nothing strange that can be correlated. Seems the system do it randomly. I had to find that thread because I don't remembered the necessary steps to fix it.
Let's see when would be the next time
