Licquorix 6.6.x (no systemd) not permit enter in a virtual console

#1 Post by harrykar »

Dunno if it is just known so i report it here anyway.
The only visible effect after typing CTRL ALT F[1..6] is that touchpad's cursor disappears (reappears after CTRL ALT F)
The same kernel with systemd hasn't that problem

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all you

Ah ok :)
You're also on MX23.1 . At that point the only kernel difference trough us seems to be the last point in kernel release number(yours .5 Vs my .7)?

The same kernel with systemd hasn't that problem
What happend in both systemd and sysvinit,
when switching to VT1 with

Code: Select all

sudo chvt 1
and back to VT7 with

Code: Select all

sudo chvt 7
Would it work in both sd and sv?

On MX23.1 + systemd, either commands worked as intended (but there CTL+ALT+F[1..6] worked well per default)
On MX23.1 + sysVinit instead either commands worked here too and after that seems (as ''unlock something'' and) now work well here also the combo keys CTL+ALT+F[1..6]

and on vt1 i tried also

Code: Select all

sudo pkill -KILL -u harrykar
and work as intended (puts me out vt1 and brings me to vt7 login session screen)

All good then @fehlix nice workaround(not knew the existence of sudo chvt [1..6] ) thank you & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

PS: That thing IMHO have to work out of the box?
