xsensors 0.70 question
Does anyone know of a way (if indeed it's possible) to make xsensors retain previously set configuration? I like to keep an eye on temps and at every boot, I've got to go into the menu and check "always on visible workspace". Upon reboot, this check mark does not stick. I run XFCE.
Re: xsensors 0.70 question
To my knowledge you would have to use something like devilspie2 to set that window upon startup. And I believe you are looking for the stick_window() function to set it to 'always on visible workspace'.

Yes that's right Charles. I am simply trying to get it to a) autostart and b) start with the previous settings such as always on visible workspace. I will look into devilspie2.

@CharlesV
I have now installed devilspie2. Question .... I've looked at the help file from the cli and see no way to create the apparently required script file. I searched for where devilspie2 resides and it is /usr/bin but again, no way to create the required script file. Any ideas on best way to proceed?
Edit ... I've researched this link https://www.linux-magazine.com/Issues/2 ... Devilspie2
So belay my request whilst I work through the suggestions therein thanks Charles.

@CharlesV
After further review of devilspie and an indirectly related matter - see viewtopic.php?t=78300, I'm now using the Session and Startup - Autostart procedure(s) to invoke a desktop each start just how I want things placed. I'd recommend Session and Startup found in the Whisker menu as a great way to accomplish this type of operation.
I will now mark this thread solved with my latest post here.
