But...but...it brings in Qt 6 dependencies!

Code: Select all

Package: PDF4QT
Version: 1.3.4
Section: base
Priority: optional
Architecture: amd64
Depends: libqt6gui6, libqt6xml6, libqt6svg6, libqt6openglwidgets6, libtbb12,  libqt6printsupport6, libqt6texttospeech6, qt6-speech-speechd-plugin, qt6-speech-flite-plugin
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

How sad... 😢 😭

Is a backport (version 1.3.6) to MX-23 (Debian-12) possible?

The developer released a package for Debian 12:

The dev doesn't really say how they built the deb, though the source has some kind of script that seems to assemble a deb from parts laying around instead of using the very fine Debian packaging system. Doing that seems to me a lot like piloting a car at speed through an obstacle course by climbing out onto the hood, jamming a tire iron into the steering assembly, and then making turns by wrenching it to the right or left, when the steering wheel is right there.

But maybe I'm wrong...

I understand you. If you can make a package for MX-23 that conforms to Debian 12 and its standards I would appreciate it.
