Bluetooth does not start

#1 Post by rzaprianov »

Hello,

I bought new WiFi card for my PC as I have a rooter at the second floor and use internet on first through WiFi and the card has also BT5.2 but when I try to run the Bluetooth on the PC I just see some application blink and disappear.

Try to run by terminal I was very confused. "blueman" I got "command not found". When I try to install it sudo apt install blueman I got "already newest version" .... I opened the graphic installer and I see there the application installed.

Here is info about the machine:

Normal, cause it should be:

Code: Select all

sudo service bluetooth start
But you can use the new and cool "MX Service Manager" from menu for all, enable at boot etc ...

Blueman Applet etc. are normally enabled by default, anyway you can check them in "Session and Startup" - "App. Autostart" tab.

Also you can check (just to see):

Code: Select all

rfkill
and issue:

Code: Select all

rfkill unblock all

In the meantime the above command is for the default init , SysV, however it'll still work on systemd. Normally on systemd it is:

Code: Select all

systemctl start bluetooth.service

You can also see the current status:

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl status bluetooth.service

... On a previous thread, only this solved the issue as it was "masked" somehow :

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl unmask bluetooth.service ; sudo systemctl enable bluetooth.service ; sudo systemctl start bluetooth.service

There is some other issue look at that

Something happen with that installation. In general a lot of issues. Virtual Machine - guest no internet. Movies freeze after 5-6 minutes. Other small issues as well...
