KDE clipboard , Found a *Save As* option

When I'm editing music titles just downloaded ( I have used this for documents paragraphs also) I use the clipboard lots sometimes it's small adjust in name etc two or more almost same, almost.
when you
open the OTB clipboard to change any item and Click Save that destroys the original text, no good sometimes you just need to keep original.
try this

open the OTB clipboard to change any text item and = hightlight the text (mouseaction) then use the keyboard Ctrl+C, this the cool part click on Cancel and that is a Save As.

Then there will be the new edit that you highlighted and the original still in the place where it was. huh.
Easier and faster than copying into text editor, edit text and save to clipboard.
Can also be used on longer/larger texts.

Glad you found a solution. You may want to take a look at CopyQ. It has a lot of options such as tabs, edit captures, and pin captures so not accidentally deleted. And many more. It is available in MX Package Installer > Enabled Repos

I may have found a solution for OTB Clipboard, your suggestion of CopyQ appreciated when spending over 1 hour pouring over the docs what a brilliant app, later will set this up with multiple tabs/projects then wont be so cluttered, time well spent reading and ThankYou.

I use copyq like there's no tomorrow. I have 9 tabs total so far loosely organized. Easy to back them up all at once and just as easy to restore them. Best part is it's themeable so you can make it look however you like. Clip manager I remove. Copyq should really be installed by default.
When you back it up it literally creates a copy of itself as a single file and remembers it in the "clips" list tab.
