How well do Lutris and Wine upgrade between versions?
Currently I've got a working 21.3 install with Lutris running both Star Trek Online and Lord of the Rings Online quite well. I'd sort-of like to upgrade to the latest 23, just to stay current. Re-install is my usual approach to a version upgrade. But this would mean completely re-installing those very large games. A tedious process. And yet I've always heard that using the 'dist-upgrade' option is very unreliable with nearly any Linux. Has anyone here also using Lutris done the 21->23 upgrade and had it still running all games the same as before?

Usually there should be no problem if you keep your home partition. The configuration of Lutris for example should not change through an upgrade as its configuration-files are usually saved on /home.
Of course, as always, it is advisable to make a backup of your home partition before upgrading in case for some reason something doesn't work as it should.

And when I tried to get to run, hoping to see the total number of files and megabytes needed to download, it doesn't do anything. How do you get this switch to actually work? Do I have to change the repositories manually before running it?
