Re: Brave No Longer Launches On MX Linux
Will Brave run if extensions are disabled?
Code: Select all
brave-browser --disable-extensions
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Somehow I missed that part. Backup the brave config folder (~/.config/BraveSoftware/) and open Brave again.

Re: Brave No Longer Launches On MX Linux
Alright. Try this then. Put MX 19.4 onto a USB stick, load it up, install Brave from MXPI and then see what happens. If it still errors out then that means there may be an issue with MX itself. Or Brave.

Sometimes I wonder if, towards the end of the life of a Debian release, some 3rd party apps have update problems because their devs have been releasing updates that are more focused on the newer Debian releases and may no longer be fully compatible with Debian oldoldstable.
Just an unsubstantiated thought of mine.

Re: Brave No Longer Launches On MX Linux
IMHO two killer-features compared to FireFox (and derivates) in Brave (and other chromium based browsers, except:Opera!):
1.) native inbuild and full-featured PWA support
2.) very intuitive, user-friendly and well-working multi-profile setups
