#1 Post by justAnoob »

Ok I'm going nuts , everytime i post a image in places like Twitter from browser it gives me a super small list view that I cant stand and I want it to display in a large thumbnail view by default in the Thunar file manager I have everything thumbnail selected but always get list view , I can't believe something that should be so simple yet is so hard

Your talking about the File Chooser dialog?

If you are, that is not Thunar. I believe you are talking about the famous 'GNOME File picker bug' and a hot topic! The only method I have found so far is to click on that image and it should show it preview on the right.
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

I'm not sure the file chooser can be configured the way you describe. some choosers do show previews, but it depends on how the app in use is compiled. the file chooser dialogs are not thunar and has nothing to do with thunar.

best I can say is when you get a file chooser dialog to drag your images from thunar to the dialog. its a little funky but at least you can see the thumbnails you want in the file manager.
