MX-23 Libretto KDE - Icons change not applied

#1 Post by anselmo »

Hello,
I just installed MX-23 in the KDE version.

1 - I was trying to change some of the icons displayed in the dolphin resources (left panel) an notice the change are not applied (or the be more precise the are applied on the folder but not on the side panel view).

I don't know how to debug the problem.

Any idea?

2 - Some folder icons showed on the selection list are not applied. Example folder-yellow-wine.

Does the problem still occur with a new instance of Dolphin?
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

I too have noticed several icon issues w/MX 23, not just in Dolphin but in several apps, both on real hardware and inside Virtual Machine and its driving me nuts. My best guess is certain icons are not present in various icon packs causing KDE to default to breeze icons in their place, but I had no issues in 19 (skipped 21, mostly) with the same theme/icons.

For example, breeze dark theme but with Gnome icons - open Dolphin and across the tool bar you will find the view mode, split, and menu icons are breeze lite icons and barely visable on the breeze dark colors.
