Can't access wifi

#1 Post by jacatone »

Installed MXL on an older Dell Latitude E6430. Runs fine but I need help setting up the wifi. I mainly use my local library to use the internet. I don't know what to add for the SSID, BSSID, Device, and Cloned MAC address. Thanks.

Using the network assistent it show the following:

wlan0 iwlwifi - wireless interface Intel Corp. Centrino Advanced-N6205 [Taylor Peak] rev34

The librarians should tell you their network name (SSID) and password. All you have to do is click on the network icon in the panel, select their network from the list and then enter the password when prompted.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.
