SO2001 wrote: Fri Jun 23, 2023 8:05 amThanks for the tip, but sudo apt update does create the same 3 line error message as in my message found above, mentioning stuff about a missing release file. I have tried NOT selecting all the AHS updates, but to no avail. Even without selecting all these firmware updates I still get the same error message. sudo apt update
to refresh the package lists first?
Code: Select all
$ sudo apt update [sudo] password for ploppie: Hit:1 http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates InRelease Hit:2 http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye InRelease Hit:3 https://mirror.koddos.net/mxlinux/mx/repo bullseye InRelease Ign:4 http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-security InRelease Err:5 http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-security Release 404 Not Found [IP: 199.232.150.132 80] Reading package lists... Done E: The repository 'http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-security Release' does not have a Release file. N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default. N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
Open MX Repo Manager > Debian repos and uncheck bullseye-security. Then run sudo apt update again.
