I tried downloading the latest firmware updates, but I got an "Update Issue" screen, with lots of similar messages like below:
" mirror.koddos.net/mxlinux/mx/repo bullseye/main is not yet available (404 Not Found)".
I tried changing the software sources from the main server to the USA server and then to the option "other" server. But the update issue didnt go away. I couldnt download the updates.
I saw an error messsage popping up for 5 seconds: something about that the update didnt have " a release date" and " couldnt be released".
sometimes it takes all of the servers to sync and repopulate - - wait for a half hr or so and try again. he few times i had an issues - it auto resolved due to this reason.
If it is not broke then don't fix it; and if you can't fix it then don't break it!
Those updates are backported from the latest in Debian upstream to better support the 6.3 kernels we've recently added, plus spanking new hardware, and also have the older firmware files, so if your system is running fine with the current firmware, there's no really urgent need to get them.
But they are going to be seen as updates in AHS.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Thanks for all the input everybody! I have gone to bed and early in the morning tried to download all the new updates again (several times). Tried changing the sources for download as well. But to no avail. Same errors. I am not able to distinguish which software should or shouldnt be downloaded for my particular hardware/software configuration. I always select everything.
I have succeeded in copying the popup error message though, that popped up when I try to download all the new updates:
E:The repository ftp.us.debian.org/debian bullseye-security RELEASE does not have a release file
W:Updating from such a repository cant be done securely and is therefore disabled by default
W:See Apt-secure (8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details
Where can I find this Apt secure manpage?
I got another error message that mentioned that I could check the var/log/mxpi.log A copy of some of the errors in there are found below:

indicates your manually changed repo sources.lists have been created invalid sources list entries.
Suggest to reset to default using "MX Repo Manager"
Esp. this line you added is an invalid one:

Just checking - Every time you changed sources, did you do a
sudo apt update
to refresh the package lists first?
Thanks for the tip, but sudo apt update does create the same 3 line error message as in my message found above, mentioning stuff about a missing release file. I have tried NOT selecting all the AHS updates, but to no avail. Even without selecting all these firmware updates I still get the same error message. I can not update any other software either right now. Not even Firefox...
$ sudo apt update
