Thunderbird 102 here. Been using it for YEARS and nothing has beat it!

Coupled with etesync for private calendar ( with sharing) and contacts - ++
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

I use Thunderbird 102 from flatpak but it started to get a bit funky when I tried to print out an email as a pdf file.
At times the destination directory was easy to find and export to. Then Thunderbird started to show nonsensical numbers rather than folder names as the destination directory.
Maybe it was something I jiggled around and the law of unintended consequences caught up with me?

So I also use webmail when The Bird lets me down. Strangely enough - or not so if you see where I am coming from - I prefer 102 to 78 especially if I do a bit of distrohopping.
The import and export of things in 102 is a game changer as far as I am concerned.
so, answer in short T'bird 102 with Webmail via Librewolf as alternative when needed

I prefer to use Sylpheed or Claws-Mail (a folk of Sylpheed), because it adopts so-called "MH Message Handling System"
MH saves an file per one e-mail in mail box directory.
On the contrary, Thunderbird saves lots of e-mails as one big file in its directory. This is a major difference.
You can find the article explaining about it at Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MH_Messag ... ing_System

I use "maildir" on Thunderbird which saves one file per email as opposed to "mbox" which saves all the emails for an account or folder in one file. I don't know know if mbox is still the default on TB or not, but I switched must be at least a couple of years ago with no problems including the switchover.

Thank @JeffA I will give maildir a try on the other computer and see how things go.
