no user avatar at login screen

#1 Post by ds1121 »

Hi
newb here - installed MX 21 and love it! Thank you!

Anyway, at the login screen I can see the admin's avatar but not the user's avatar. The user is 5 years old and a little disappointed so I hope you can help please. :) We selected one of the avatars from the list and it is showing as selected in System settings > 'manage users'.

Many thanks

DS

You can select any photo and set it as the icon. You can resize it using Gimp so you can use it as an avatar.
I am command line illiterate. I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list.

Ah yes thanks, the selectable avatar images in 'manage users' do not seem to work but using any reasonably-sized png from elsewhere does.
