Speaking for the packaging team, we never enable it either. Mostly Debian uses it to test possible new kernels and package security updates for the next stable point release (11.3 to 11.4, for example), so it's really not our job, except as just testers, which any user can help out with. None of our MX GUI tools should be adding it.j2mcgreg wrote: Mon Jun 06, 2022 9:02 am Yes. The Debian-testing-proposed repository is for packages that are at an alpha release level IE they are in their infancy and have not been debugged at all. The only people that should be accessing this repo are Debian's own packaging team. Installing packages (and their dependencies) from this repo can play real havoc with MX. If your system is otherwise stable, it may be enough for you to disable this repository immediately. However keep in mind that if more problems crop up, a complete re-install may be necessary.

@j2mcgreg
Please excuse me for getting back to you so late, but I've had a lot of health issues.
I will try to implement your advice tonight (German time) and then report back here with the result.
Thank you very much for trying to help me.
Regards
Karl
