On 9/11, I had already “wrongfully” selected Debian’s new modified version then later saw dolphin’s post “Debian 11.5 grub update” in “MX News and Announcements.”; but luckily I performed a Timeshift snapshot about a week ago, so I restored, then followed the advice given in the post.

Additionally, I made a new MX Snapshot as it may? have also contained a bad mx-snapshot, possibly version ….01 --- mx-snapshot (22.9.01 => 22.9.02)

Well I selected the N option and rebooted without any problems however my selection screen has changed from black to blue. The little box is now clear - not green so all seems to be well for me.

Just for info. Old config file is kept with a label ending ending in .old.
