Files in my document folder get displayed on the desktop as well. How to prevent this? [Solved]

I am new to KDE MX 21.1 Wildflower and I really love it! It's smart, fast, beautiful and versatile. Many many options available to adjust everything to my likings. Chapeau! I wish I had found this OS earlier...

There is one thing though that I couldnt find in my settings. Where can I prevent every file in my documents folder, being displayed on my desktop as well? Are these shortcuts or something? There must be a setting for it to only show my documents in my document folder and not on my desktop as well. Can anyone help me out?

Hello, if you right-click on the desktop and select the 1st entry "configure desktop", what does your "Location" tab show ?

Apologies for the long pause...

When I right click on the desktop and select "configure desktop" my location tab shows "places panel item: documents".

I'll try changing it to another folder and see what happens... be right back...

I have changed it to "desktop folder" and now the content of my documents folder is no longer showing on the desktop. Beats me what the "desktop folder" is, but I achieved what I wanted. So thanks for pointing me to this setting baldyeti!

If you open "home" in Dolphin, Desktop should probably be the first item
