For example, the System log started earlier this morning at 3:45 am when the system was off and no one was awake. It's now (a bit after 12:00 noon local time) timestamping events about 9 hours later tonight.
The Kernel log is timestamping events correctly.
In similar fashion to the System log, the Authentication log started the day at 3:45 am and it's now timestamping events 9 hours in the future.
Is there a tweak I can do to get the logs
a) not jumping times during the day
b) aligning the times?

And I've searched this forum and the web for help, but maybe my search terms might have been better.
Thanks.
