@ldsemerchen I am not trying to get ahead of upstream Debian too much to let these versions settle a little. But I’ll update it when I can get some time.

Because it supports traditional Chinese officially.

@ldsemerchen Thank you, but I already get notifications when new versions come out, I've already have it packaged, but I need to test it more against a few reported issues for the last two versions on GitHub before anything else.
The package maintainer at the Debian level wants to stop maintaining Cherrytree, which is why Debian doesn't have newer versions, so it adds a bit more for us to do.

I can understand that this version may be important for your Chinese respin of MX, but please remember that it has to be tested first for all MX users before it gets included in our repos.
As you can see here, the major Linux Distros are not including 0.99.45 yet https://repology.org/project/cherrytree/versions

Thanks a lot for your efforts. I don't know the situation you described above so just go at your speed.
I also made a Sparkylinux respin. It updated very quickly about Cherrytree.

I hear what you are saying, but the Cherrytree package in Sparky is NOT the same as the Debian package. I'm not going into why and how that is in here.

Cherrytree 0.99.43 and up has issues with crashing somewhat randomly related to autosave, I've verified it happens on our 0.99.43 and 0.99.45, others have reported the same thing for multiple distros.

It is being work here https://github.com/giuspen/cherrytree/i ... 1020453729

I'm going to ask to have all these posts moved out of the Cherrytree status thread, it is unrelated to the status and feedback of the version of Cherrytree in our Repo.
