MX 21 Repository: The Telegram-Desktop Thread
We now have the current release of the popular Telegram messaging app for the Linux desktop, 3.3.0, in our testing repository:

Now updated to 3.4.3 from upstream Debian.
Unable to make calls or accept on Telegram
Hi everyone. I am using MX-Linux 21 KDE. I am using the latest Telegram from the MX-test repo on my system. Unfortunately, I cannot make or accept new calls on my Telegram app. The call drops all of a sudden in between the exchanging encryption key process. I am clueless about the main problem.
Can anyone help me with this one? I will be grateful for that. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Re: MX 21 Repository: The Telegram-Desktop Thread
I'm sorry about missing the above question, but we do now have the current Telegram 3.7.1 package backported in the MX 21 test repo for all our supported architectures.
Re: MX 21 Repository: The Telegram-Desktop Thread
After some internal testing went well, we have added our backport of Telegram 4.0.2, rebuilt from the sources in Debian testing, to our main MX21 repository for amd64, i386, and armhf platforms.
It requires at least Qt 5.15.2 to build, so MX 19 users will have to use the binary from Telegram itself, with its limitations.

Re: MX 21 Repository: The Telegram-Desktop Thread
4.1.1 from upstream Debian is now available in the MX 21 test repo.
It required a backport of Wayland from Debian testing in order to build, but that should not affect anybody using xorg. I don't know how many of our users use Wayland in KDE or even GNOME--I don't, so could not test for any issues.

Re: MX 21 Repository: The Telegram-Desktop Thread
4.2.4 rebuilds are now in MX 21 main. Debian patched the source so it now can use the stock Wayland and kf5core in Bullseye, so those may become autoremovable.
Re: MX 21 Repository: The Telegram-Desktop Thread
Hello Stevo,
could you please update repo? The utd is 4.4.1 @ https://desktop.telegram.org/ vs 4.2.4 @ MX Repo,
Thanks :-)
