I am trying to set up my integrated web cam on Sony Vaio 13 Pro running MX-21.
When I first ran Webcamoid, the image was tearing up and only the top portion of the stream was continuously shown. When I selected YUYV video format instead of the default MJPG one under "Configure sources", this problem was resolved.
I am now wondering how to use this setting in other applications, such as in Firefox when using web apps for video calls. Is this an option that each web app should provide (as an example, I found no such setting in Jitsi, https://meet.jit.si/TestCall )? Is it something Firefox itself controls?
Or can I set this system wide?
I already tried to use v4l2-ctl for this purpose, but I was not sure what argument controls this or how to apply it to any application that uses the web cam.
I attach the relevant system info below. I would appreciate any advice very much!
