Hope someone can help.
I hate Windows with a passion and switched to MX. Unfortunately I have to use Copysafe pdf reader for some of my work which only runs on Windows (no linux version)
I tried installing it through "wine" but could not get it to run. Can someone help?
I would also would like to know if that does not work can I install Win 7 in a "virtual box" in MX and then run Copysafe through that - if so can someone tell me how to do it.
Help much appreciated.

Re: Copysafe PDF reader
Reports on the web suggest wine will not be able to fully support your program.
There are many video guides on youtube regards to installing win7 on virtualbox, example:

You can install virtualbox from MX package Installer>Popular Apps>Misc>Virtualbox

Re: Copysafe PDF reader
Copysafe isn't in winehq's application database so it probably doesn't install in wine. To install VirtualBox run MX Package Installer, and on the Popular Applications tab and expand the Misc category and install it from there. For instructions on installing Windows in a VirtualBox virtual machine consult VirtualBox's documentation: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/End-user_documentation

Re: Copysafe PDF reader
Even though Copysafe does not appear in the wine data, it may still run, or maybe the part you are using. I think its worth a go trying to use wine, especially as MX-Linux has a fairly recent version in the package manager and it loads easily. I recommend loading/extracting the software in a folder on the desktop, finding the .exe file that executes the program, and right-clicking on it, and select to run in the wine console.
