Ghost space and missing icons

#1 Post by shenkun »

Hello,

I have been noticing this issue since MxLinux 19.3 on XFCE. Sometimes when you launch any application the icon won't show up on the panel. It will show up after like 5-10min, more or less randomly. There is also ghost space remaining on the panel between window icons when any application is closed. I am attaching an image below for better understanding :p

This get's corrected when i open panel settings though probably coz the panel get;s refreshed or something. I don't know what could be causing this issue

PS: I am not using any custom theme, It's Adwaita-dark that is shipped with Mx

I'm not seeing this on any of my systems.

I see this on Xfce 4.14. usually involving the terminal but sometime with geany too. it eventually works itself out, usually when something else opens and the tasklist plugin on the panel refreshes. its irritating but I never found a solution. thankfully that seems to have been worked out on xfce 4.16.
