Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
Well spotted! I thought I had got that the right way around; I double-checked because I find it confusing that underscan means the opposite to me.old_guy wrote: Mon Feb 08, 2021 11:27 am Your First Steps page 2 shows:

Sorry @Jerry; would you change the graphic (attached), and alter enable to disable please?

Scriptease:
1) I'm still trying to get ntp to update and, after a failure, I am adding "sleep 60" to give the internet time to come up. Test tomorrow.
2) I've been seeing the dock fail with RPi Config a couple of time, so I stuck that long command in a script and just point to the script now from the dock script. No failure so far...

Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
on 1), getting closer.
Adrian (now the proud owner of a Pi 400) asked me about a load meter for the systray. I came up empty, but worked out a terrific (if I say so myself) workaround: a new button between the systray and the clock where LC > xosview and LX > lxtask. That will be in Final.

Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
Now if that could show CPU temp (always useful on a Pi 4), that would be great!Jerry3904 wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 12:02 pm on 1), getting closer.

Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
What about using a conky like - MX-APInfo. It has CPU % and SYS TEMP
Or have someone make one with just those two displays.
PS
It also shows HD % and RAM

Lots of seasoned Pi users tend to watch temps as they run over-clocked. Not a problem with the Pi 400 as it runs really cool stock.
I intend to push my Pi 400 soon, to see what it will cope with.

Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
Thanks; I have my own solution using the terminal when I need to test, but it's good to have things in place for other users.old_guy wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 2:21 pm What about using a conky like - MX-APInfo. It has CPU % and SYS TEMP
