To save manually for the live-usb

How to save manually for the live-usb data (persistence if I remember correctly) as i encountered below when tried to make live-usb
(if I remember correctly kinda):

default is to semiautomatic...

1. Automatic : rootfs and homefs kept in Ram saved on reboot
2. Semiautomatic ...(bit same like above..)
3. Manually : if you forget you lose!
4. No

I picked 3
but then it didn't give any explanation/help at all how to do it.
Please guide me the work in any way, CLI or GUI. Thanks much before.

In control.center on the live tab there is a save persistence function
