[SOLVED] xfce4-session-logout does not display options popup

#1 Post by jabeavers »

When I click on the logout button in the whisker menu, it does not display the options menu (shutdown, reboot, etc.) but only logs out immediately. I have checked the settings of the menu and the button links to xfce4-session-logout without any parameters, so it is supposed to display the dialog box, but it's not.

Can you do this please?: Edit the post (pencil icon) then highlight from System.. to the end then click this icon < / >

In fact, QSI is either best and simplest. You better just open Quick System Info and directly right-click : paste in your post. (That includes the most detailed info, formatted for the forum, excluding private things like serial numbers etc...)

P.S. Till then: Session and Startup (from Menu) => "General" tab => "Prompt on Logout" https://docs.xfce.org/_media/xfce/xfce4 ... eneral.png

Thanks! I thought "Prompt on Logout" was to prompt for saving the session, not for what to do when clicking the logout button....

BTW, what I posted was from QSI, but it didn't copy anything to my clipboard....

Ok. Thank you.

In fact I deliberately mention (in my signature) not to copy manually .. Cause either the code tags are not included or the QSI is taken only some part ...

So, did it solve the issue? If yes, you can mark the thread like this:

Click the pencil icon (edit) on post #1 and add [SOLVED] at the beginning of the "subject" line.
