Some "Help" functions seem to be missing in MX19.2 KDE

#1 Post by GlennB »

HI,

upgraded my install of MX19XFCE to KDE and so far happy with the upgrade.
I have come across a few issues tho, mainly with the availability of the "Help" feature on some of the screens.
It may be just me assuming help would be available for all of the settings, maybe it isn't?

Couple of screenshots below which highlight the issues.

Take a look at the next screen. Not in Fonts, but in Font Management. The same for Look and Feel.
Not using the official MX-kde, but it should be the same.

Thanks for feedback.

Yes i can see that those screens do have a "Help" button that launches the "Help Centre" guide.
The "Font Management" help does directly link to the applicable section in the guide. However, help for the "Fonts" tab is not active although there is a section in the "Help Centre" guide.

This is not the case in the "Workspace Theme" Settings panel where the "Help" button is not active and I cannot find any reference in the Help Centre guide.

So it looks like some things are not fully complete/Inconsistent;
e.g.
There's an active link and it loads the appropriate help information; Fonts > Font Management
There's an inactive link but help is available in the guide; Fonts > Fonts
There's an inactive link and help is not available in the guide; Workspace Theme > Look and Feel

Only a minor point, I'm not complaining as a I like the new KDE and now its been pointed out I know where to look, or my other goto tool > "Google".

Keep up the good work devs...
