MX 18.3 en-US
Can't install another language pack for LibreOffice. Maybe they weren't built in MX repos?

Re: Jun-15; unable to install LO language pack.
have you disabled the MX repos? 18.3 ships with LO 6, not 5, and the pt-br language pack does install just fine here.
but those version numbers in your synpatic image indicate the debian-hosted versions, not ours.

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

I haven't (yet) messed with the repos. It seems I have the Debian backports version and that repo was disabled.
The issue might be some missing keyring for MX repo.
Code: Select all
Reading package lists... Done
W: The repository 'http://mirror.adct.be/mx/mx/repo stretch Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore potentially dangerous to use.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
E: Failed to fetch http://mirror.adct.be/mx/mx/repo/dists/stretch/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found [IP: 2a0c:b641:600:1::3 80]
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
Is it safe to use and leave enabled the Debian backports repo?

Re: Jun-15; unable to install LO language pack.
Ok, for some unknown reason, the MX repo was set to Belgium (I'm in Brazil). Now I used the MX repo tool and set it to the fastest mirror and there are no more errors in 'apt-get update'.
Also I had a look at the manual..
Next I'll upgrade and see how it goes.
Edit. The upgrade went well and the LO package was installed. I left the backports repo enabled but since enabling MX repo properly, now it doesn't seem to make any difference (maybe the MX repo has more priority? - doesn't matter for the while, maybe later I check).
One thing I noticed is that the apt commands (apt, apt-get, apt-cache etc.) don't have auto-completion. Is it really supposed to be so?
