I just installed this appimage: https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet-electron/releases (version 1.1.1). It seems to work fine. Perhaps we can chat with each other sometime to further test it out? :bagoverhead:

It's indeed well-designed and works reasonably well within a browser... as long as said browser supports WebRTC. So no fun with Pale Moon but it's fine with Vivaldi (and, I assume, other Cr-based browsers).

It also allows file and screen sharing from within the browser, not bad at all.
