I actually did a remastered USB drive today and the process is very smooth. This, and the snapshot capability is a HUGE selling point for this package as I know of no other distro that can do this. A lot of distros used to use remastersys but it has dropped since the author bailed on the project. I searched far and wide as I need this capability and because it's not "advertised" I never knew MX-14 did this until I tried it.
This system needs a good professional review that really highlights the special tools it has...
MX-14 is great

Re: MX-14 is great
I have MX-14 running on all 3 of my laptops now and it just plain works. A buddy at work is looking for a polished stable system and I pointed him to it as well. Also, the death of XP has been a warmish topic on a few of the gun forums I frequent (as well as my own) and I also shared the link and my satisfaction with MX-14 there. I will switch my wife's computer from Lubuntu to MX-14 this weekend - that is a huge thumbs up from me...

Re: MX-14 is great
My wife HATES technology, she's only been using email for about 2 years. Funny considering I was a "techie" for most of my working life. Her computer must be fast, stable, and do NOTHING surprising or my phone will ring and I will not enjoy the conversation. It took me a year to get the guts to switch her to Lubuntu and she has been really happy. I suspect the 14.04 release this month will cause issues, a major release always does, so I will switch her computer to MX-14 to avoid the hassle.joany wrote:Getting one's spouse on board is always a huge hurdle.
