I have recently installed MX23 over MX21 (both XFCE), with my /home/ preserved. I've noticed that the panel won't autohide, either in Intelligent or Always mode.
I thought maybe my old configuration was corrupted or got corrupted after the new system was installed, so I moved my old HOME and recreated it from scratch, copying back just .bash* files. No success, the panel will still not hide. If made vertical, hides with no problem.
BTW, is there any way to move the horizontal panel to the bottom of the screen? I don't see any option for that in Panel Preferences.
Any hints?

Re: MX23 xfce horizontal panel won't autohide
Thanks. Somehow, magically, the MX Tweak option solved my main problem. When I opened the Tweak Window, it showed "Bottom" for the Horizontal panel, though actually it was at the top. After one or two changes Top-Bottom, it started to autohide in both positions,

Re: MX23 xfce horizontal panel won't autohide
Second time in two years I had to rediscover this issue. MX 23.6 ... and this issue still exists.
Many thanks to msz1959 who said:

Mine also showed Bottom ... two years after the first time.
(My drive died and I had to reload ... and I did not want the baggage from years ago in my home directory an more ... so I started from scratch.)
I looked all around ... then re-read the postings and found msz1959 note.
I never would have noticed the "Bottom".
Thank you for a 2nd time for that post msz1959.
