if all are ok (and still the problem) and if you like only: remove sddm-modified-init and then (re)install sddm

Code: Select all

sudo apt purge sddm-modified-init -y ; sudo apt update ; sudo apt reinstall sddm -y

Reboot.
It was the solution!
Thank you so much!

Now I'm going to tackle the kernel update. A first time for me on MX-Linux

Thank you, too for the feedback :)

If you like (just "while you're at it") you can install the most recent Liquorix kernel with just 2 clicks in "MX Package Installer", the initial tab.
