Re: Papirus update doesn't finish (MX-21.3-KDE)
1. sudo apt updatedings wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 6:47 pm MX Updater is not available in KDE. An I cannot find it in MX Package Installer.
2. sudo apt install nala
3. sudo apt install apt-notifier
4. run MX Updater from the menu (Utilities)
5. right click on Systray -> Configure System Tray, open Entries, find "Updates" and set to Always hidden
6. open systray and right click on notifications and "Configure Event...." (or open from the system settings), click on the "Configure" button, find Discover, click on "Configure Events" and then disable popups at least for the "Updates are available"
No more Discover popups, welcome MX Updater :)

If you want apt-notifier to use nala, you also have to tell them to enable it in its conf file for now.

It was already enabled by default on two of my latest new installs (one in January, second in February). I probably installed nala before apt-notifier.Stevo wrote: Mon Mar 06, 2023 6:21 pm If you want apt-notifier to use nala, you also have to tell them to enable it in its conf file for now.
