I get the exact same terminal output when trying to install w64codecs from MXPI.
My goal is to get the old codecs for being able to play *.flv *.mov files.
Also I'm trying to get *.webm video files working.
In my earlier debian system I remember that I played little *.webm clips right within gThumb, without any problems. In this installation, neither vlc, nor mpv, nor gThumb nor Gwenview are able to play any of this stuff.
Sadly I dont remember which packages I had installed back then that made me able to play that stuff.
It's not that my hard disk is full of this old stuff, but if something like this comes up again, I want to be prepared. Otherwise, a good video converter might be an option, although that would also need the codecs as a basis, wouldn't it?
Any information on this is welcome.
