Ok. I don't know if you would try this but resetting Bios to factory settings sometimes solves such weird issues (and sometimes that's the only solution). Not a bad thing. (Sometimes it's affected by firmware etc.).
In case you do that, just disable "secure boot" again , as it might turn back to enabled as the default.
(In fact that's my humble opinion from the very beginning, cause you say it repeats, and that live usb system doesn't save any changes unless "you" do it manually (MX RemasterCC) )

I reset the bios first to default settings, then to factory settings...both no success. I then plugged the wireless keyboard into my wife's older Dell laptop using yet another MX 21.3 live USB...same problem. I am going to order another Logitech wireless keyboard from Amazon. I will leave this open until I receive it (probably ~a week) and test it out to see if that fixes the problem.

That's why I was going to order another keyboard. Fortunately I haven't placed the order yet (it was close though!) Fn + Left Click worked. I need to save this information. Thank you! You are a life saver...well, at least a keyboard saver
Thank you, again.

I was asking myself "Fn plus something, but what" ... Then it seems you accidendattly Fn + tapped (that was a left click) ... :)
