Re: Power Manager brightness control issue
And you have used the Brightness Systray app and turned the back light all the way down and THEN turned down the brightness ?

Re: Power Manager brightness control issue
The Brightness Systray app works as intended, albeit, buggy for me. My problem is the brightness slider on the power manager systray app.CharlesV wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2024 9:45 pm And you have used the Brightness Systray app and turned the back light all the way down and THEN turned down the brightness ?
![]()

This thing, all the way to the left and is still bright.
Re: Power Manager brightness control issue
Could it be something silly, like how the icons graphics has changed? I thought I saw something like new high resolution icon update or something. What is sure is that the system is capable of lowering the brightness to minimum, but the slider on the power manager is having issues after recent updates. Almost as if the screen DPI or something interferes with the brightness steps in this slider.
Re: Power Manager brightness control issue
It very possibly is some change there in that app, I dont use it so not sure. If the Brightness Systray app works properly in dimming, I would suspect something is amiss with the other one. ( Can you try turning your back light off and then use the power manager setting to change the brightness? It sounds like your back light is not being turned off.

Re: Power Manager brightness control issue
I tried. I can use either the physical buttons, or Brightness control systray or any other setting that controls the hardware brightness, to reduce the brightness, it goes to 0 (screen off). Then when I use the power manager control to change brightness, it's stuck between 9 to 90 boundary, not 1 to 100 as it used to be.CharlesV wrote: Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:39 am It very possibly is some change there in that app, I dont use it so not sure.
