I'm in Central Time Zone (American/Chicago).
When I read posts that were just posted, they are showing one hour in my future.
I can correct it by changing from -5 to -6 hours or choosing America/Boise instead of choosing the America/Chicago zone.
When I choose a different zone, the board recommends the -5 hours. So it is detecting my correct time zone, just not displaying it correctly.

Re: Posts show wrong time
Just grab a different timezone so the time shows correctly for you. We cannot change the phpbb code.
Or is the problem that you cannot change it?

That's what I did. I didn't know if there was a setting wrong on the board or if it was just me.clampett wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 9:46 pm I can correct it by changing from -5 to -6 hours or choosing America/Boise instead of choosing the America/Chicago zone.
Not that critical, as yesterday was the first time I'd noticed it.
Re: Posts show wrong time
When this happens to me, I just select another city in the same time zone. You say that you are in Chicago, so try Milwaukee or Green Bay.clampett wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 9:46 pm I'm in Central Time Zone (American/Chicago).

HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;
In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Re: Posts show wrong time
Could someone please tell me where, how, what tool/app to change this from?clampett wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 9:46 pm ...I can correct it by changing from -5 to -6 hours or choosing....
I doubt it's MX-Date&Time.
I'm on MX-21.3 NOT 23
Thank You.
++EDIT- Thanks @CharlesV for reply/post #6!
++EDIT2-Thanks @Eadwine Rose! I didn't catch the board referring to the forum, hence why no tool/app to change this from - OK.
But I noticed mine are off too.

MX Date & Time :-)
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

Forum times are adjusted in the User Control Panel, board preferences.

You can also change the date and time for forum posts here. ucp.php?i=174
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Re: Posts show wrong time
@Eadwine Rose , thanks for post #2 explaining that it can't be solved by a forum software tweak.
Choosing @siamhie post #8 as the solution as it is direct link for those that may be new or not know their way around the board yet.
