i can confirm that installing and running nvidia-xconfig in order to create a /etc/X11/xorg.conf file solves the issue.

Hello everyone,

my system just updated the nvidia driver (from 535.183.06 to 535.216.03) and the X server doesn't start anymore.
boot gets stuck with a black screen and a blinking cursor.
luckily i have another kernel installed (6.11.10-1-liquorix-amd64) and it works fine.
