Re: High CPU usage/runaway process by MXPI after closing.
turfymiler No, I don't use OpenSnitch. Hmmm, this certainly explains why a clean .iso works for you. Glad you managed to resolve the issue your end. It does seem Adrian was onto something, the MXPI initialisation process, including package list updates, is not meant to be interrupted, manually in ...

Re: High CPU usage/runaway process by MXPI after closing.
Not sure, I don't see that happening, one clarification, MXPI is not meant to be opened and closed immediately, it loads stuff in its cache, it loads the Debian package info, it loads the flatpak stuff, so when you click on the next tab it would be responsive and you don't have to wait for ...

Re: High CPU usage/runaway process by MXPI after closing.
Specifically this happens when you open MXPI, perform no task and then close it. I have tested across 5 23.6 installations on 5 separate systems and with the live .iso. Same thing. Including Fluxbox, XFCE and KDE and even the Minimal spin. My workaround is to make sure I get MXPI to 'do something ...

Re: Small Feature requests for MXPI [Solved]
Thanks Adrian for implementing those changes so quickly, much appreciated. Regarding #1, I believe there may be a scenario (or two?) where new packages aren't detected unless you hit the refresh button. One scenario I have positively identified is that if the 'upgradeable' package list is not empty ...

Small Feature requests for MXPI [Solved]
Hello Devs, had a couple of super-low priority feature requests for the Magnificent MXPI. I use the Enabled Repos tab quite a bit myself. Wondering if the following are possible?
1. Having it default to the 'upgradeable' filter after a package list refresh, rather than 'All'. Assuming that this is ...

Re: Discrepancy in upgradeable package results between MXPI_EnabledRepos and MX Updater [Solved]
I might have jumped the Gun a little, seems like there is another fail condition for the version-check in the funky naming scheme used in the libxslt package(see pic). We're getting nearer at least!
edit: My bad, I didn't uncheck the 'hide library packages' and do another immediate refresh. It's ...

Re: Discrepancy in upgradeable package results between MXPI_EnabledRepos and MX Updater [Solved]
Wow Team MX, already fixed with the latest MXPI update! Your efficiency impresses! MXPI and MX Updater now in agreement. My thanks to the devs for cracking heads together and finding the solution and also to everyone who took the time to reply.

Discrepancy in upgradeable package results between MXPI_EnabledRepos and MX Updater [Solved]
How do's All! Hope everyone is tossing and turning at night in anticipation of MX25. :p

Re: Is "Accept This Answer" button/concept counter-productive [Solved]
Those concerns arise because there are almost always (in my case) multiple posts from different (or even the same) member(s) which come together to solve my problem.
Hi. What I started doing in a recent thread was compile the various solution fragments into my final post by assembling quotes ...

Re: My Screen keeps blanking out! [Solved]
When I say "blanking out" I mean that my monitor displays this message: Display not connected to [port]. Which means that the video feed from the card is being shut off. Power manager: shut off! Screensaver set to "Activate when idle 300 minutes" "Inhibit screensaver for fullscreen applications ...
