I experienced some kind of, either system or desktop, corruption with both Plasma and Xfce editions ... both 64 bit.
The corruptions happened after doing a system update.

When booting up I did not get the usual screen display ... a keyboard was shown ... alt+tab shows a login screen, but had to use ...

Tried apt, discover and synaptic. No joy!
