I was wondering if there is a time settings menu for the mx updater to start checking for new software right at the very start of me logging in? After 1 second or 1 minute. I read somewhere that it starts checking for new updates after 5 minutes after login. Is that correct?


System:

Please read fehlix's post just above mine and follow his advice to reset the repos to default.

Just checking - Every time you changed sources, did you do a

sudo apt update

to refresh the package lists first?


Thanks for the tip, but sudo apt update does create the same 3 line error message as in my message found above, mentioning stuff about a missing release file. I have tried NOT ...

Those updates are backported from the latest in Debian upstream to better support the 6.3 kernels we've recently added, plus spanking new hardware, and also have the older firmware files, so if your system is running fine with the current firmware, there's no really urgent need to get them.

I tried downloading the latest firmware updates, but I got an "Update Issue" screen, with lots of similar messages like below:
" mirror.koddos.net/mxlinux/mx/repo bullseye/main is not yet available (404 Not Found)".

I tried changing the software sources from the main server to the USA server and ...

@SO2001 An updated pulseeffects package is now in the MX Test Repo. Use the MX Package Installer to upgrade to it.
This should fix the problem, but please leave feedback so (if it fixes the problem) we can get this into the Main repo soonest.
