.odt template not showing in 'Create New' menu [Solved]

Desktop: KDE Plasma

In terminal I created a template for Writer (.odt file), and it is in the Templates folder. However, it does not show up in the 'Create New' context menu.
Oddly, the text file and html templates I created when I used Xfce, do show up in that menu, but they're not in the ...

Move FAQ and MX User Manual off the desktop? [Solved]

Checking the properties of the desktop icons for FAQ and MX User Manual, their locations are /(desktop).

I moved them to the Home folder to see what happens, but they didn't work, so I put them back on the desktop.

Is there a way to put them somewhere else?

EDIT: Okay, I just tried again, but ...

Re: What's the best practice for uninstalling software I installed myself? [Solved]

Since you are a newcomer to MX and Linux, please note that for Linux, the FIRST port of call for installing programs should be the repos of YOUR OWN DISTRO. This is very different from Windows. Do not bring that practice from Windows (of downloading exe files from all over the place and running ...
