Re: Canon Scanner Pixma MG3650 (All-in-one device): Connection issue WLAN [Solved]
I made use of the situation and deactivated WLAN and Bluetooth. So my device is on a "wired-only" mode.

Re: Scanner (All-in-one device): Any recommendations? [Solved]
And a last information: Simple Scan and Xsane detect the scanner and thus work flawlessly when the MG3650 is connected via USB. When I pull the plug and they need to connect via WLAN they don't find the device anymore.

Re: Scanner (All-in-one device): Any recommendations? [Solved]
I'm gonna compare this folder with the one on my wife's laptop as her "Simple Scan" works flawlessly. Maybe I can find the problem this way!?
No, both folders are 100% identical! But: I'm absolutely happy with scangearmp2! It even activates the scanner when it is switched off. So I don't care ...

Re: Scanner (All-in-one device): Any recommendations? [Solved]
Thank you very much for all your efforts! I'm gonna compare this folder with the one on my wife's laptop as her "Simple Scan" works flawlessly. Maybe I can find the problem this way!? I did not make any changes or updates with files or drivers anyway.

Re: Scanner (All-in-one device): Any recommendations? [Solved]
I found a solution in Ubuntuusers Wiki: Since I usually used Simple Scan I didn't remember that Canon's scangearmp2 can be started via Terminal, simply with "scangearamp2". Re: Scanner (All-in-one device): Any recommendations? [Solved]
Thank you folks! The scanner is definitely okay and working with Windows, a MacBook and even my wife's MX laptop without Canon drivers installed. Very frustrating! So I'm gonna try to find out if I missed something over the weekend...!

Re: Scanner (All-in-one device): Any recommendations? [Solved]
Thank you! I searched the forum and the web since the device's scanner function causes problems since I switched to Linux. But so far I could help myself by restarting "Simple Scan" several times. NOW I probably could restart it until I die and I'm fed up with that xxxxxxx. So, I wasn't successfull ...
