Hi everyone
I am sorry for being inactive for so long. The latest nvidia driver was not there in the regular AHS repo.
So I was inactive coz I shifted from MX Linux to Pop OS which worked perfectly right out of the box(except for having to install GRUB). No issues with Nvidia drivers either ...

I don’t think I remember anything like that. Synaptic manager and package manager never run together and I have not installed a thing on my distro for now...
Also I installed test repo for Nvidia driver version 400.smth and now got stuck at CLI when I login...
Tried setting nouveau.modset=0 AND ...

i followed all your instructions and even after installing nvidia drivers the gpu is not working
P.S. i ran the uninstall command before installing and restarted and installed drivers and restarted again before running inxi -G
result-
$ inxi -G
Graphics: Device-1: Intel UHD ...

Sorry, I did not understand that those were commands what had to be run. Please tell me which windows (I guess version) think it i to type. I mean do I run Windows 20XX or a particular version?
My windows version is 2004. I am sure coz I use WSL 2 in it.

Also for some reason I am experiencing mouse input lag and freeze in kernel version 5.4
Switching back to 5.6 for now. Also please help me install the GPU drivers as I do some work in Video and Photo editing

I tried installing the nvidia detect package again and chenged the kernel version to 5.4 Still the drivers won't install.
