OK, I used the suggested method in the Github post. It worked in that the error is gone. But the mystery only deepens. This is "not your key" but the package it freed up to be updated is named:
mx-datetime/mx 24.4mx23 amd64 [upgradable from: 23.7]
Which sure looks like a MX Linux package. Is ...

Re: Invalid key on update
Hmm, I hadn't considered that something i added might have also added a repository. I'll now have to try to figure out if this is from something I am still using or if it's something I abandoned and removed. In which case, I'll be wondering how to remove the repository. :)

Invalid key on update
Something has gone wrong with the mx23 keyring. I tried to check for updates today and got:
Err https://cli.github.com/packages stable InRelease
The following signatures were invalid: EXPKEYSIG 23F3D4EA75716059 GitHub CLI <opensource+cli@github.com>
Is there an update for the keyring that I ...

Background for login screen did not change with upgrade
Recently I successfully upgraded 21.3 to 23.2 and everything seems to be working, even the games using Lutris. But there is one small quirk to the new system. The background screen at the login prompt (not the Grub menu) still shows the flowers from the "Wildflower" version. Where is this tweaked ...

Re: How well do Lutris and Wine upgrade between versions?
And when I tried to get to run, hoping to see the total number of files and megabytes needed to download, it doesn't do anything. How do you get this switch to actually work? Do I have to change the repositories manually before running it?

How well do Lutris and Wine upgrade between versions?
Currently I've got a working 21.3 install with Lutris running both Star Trek Online and Lord of the Rings Online quite well. I'd sort-of like to upgrade to the latest 23, just to stay current. Re-install is my usual approach to a version upgrade. But this would mean completely re-installing those ...

Re: Gaming with Wine and Vulkan
And now something has happened with the latest Star Trek Online update. The client won't run at all on my copy of Windows, but then I'm not using 10 yet (and don't plan to if I can help it). It might be that they have finally implemented the DX 12 requirement, though they claimed they were doing ...

Re: Why is the menu bar so restricted?
Well, I was going to say "What apply button?" but when I went back and fiddled some more I did see a very dim button. It's so greyed out that you cannot read it very easily. It does not light up to be clickable no matter how many changes you make. So no, I didn't click the apply button because it's ...

Re: Why is the menu bar so restricted?
Hmm, after some fiddling I find it still impossible to put the menu bar on the bottom of the screen. There is a setting in MX Tweaks that says it will do this, but it has no effect. At least I could manually move the elements of the tool/menu bar around and put them on the side that has become ...
