Re: recomendation to create virtual environment in Python with Python 3.12 [Solved]
Personally ... I find it MUCH better to create a VM (I use virtualbox ) , and then setup my dev environment there. Not only does this SAVE me from "polluting" my main desktop, but it creates a base for me to work with that wont be polluted BY my main machine.
Thanks so much for your suggestion ...

I'd like to install a Python app in virtual environment (venv), but it uses Python 3.12, will I break my system if I install another version of Python and using uv or pyenv to control the version?

recomendation to create virtual environment in Python with Python 3.12 [Solved]
I have an app which requires Python 3.12, I assume the recommended way is to create a Python virtual environment (venv), my current installed Python is 3.11, and according to the documentation, the venv I'm creating will have the same version of command I'm using (which is 3.11). Is this the way to ...

Re: MX 23.5 some desktop launcher not clickable
Does the launcher show up in the folder?
~/Desktop
I'm pretty sure it does, I remembered once when it happened in the morning, I went to ~/Desktop to check if for some reason the launcher was flagged as R only, but it was RW, unfortunately this time it's working, I'll keep an eye, if it ...

Re: MX 23.5 some desktop launcher not clickable
Right click on the launcher, properties, edit icon, and try the command you see in a terminal, that might provide some clues.
Nothing works on launcher, no left/right click, no re-positioning, nothing, that's what odd, sometime if I logout, and log back in, it works, lately nothing make it work ...
