Fillable .pdf Forms [Solved]

I am using MX Linux 23, 64-bit, Xfce.

What program do you recommend for fillable .pdf forms?
I have tried filing out a .pdf form using Firefox, Okular, and qpdfview but none of them work properly.

Filling out the form with Firefox or Okular and then saving the file results in a form that is blank ...

Is there a program that I can install for using accented characters when I write something?
Microsoft Windows has a program called "Touch Keyboard" that installs in Windows' System Tray and that allows to insert accented characters in any kind of writing.

I am using MX Linux 23 Xfce.

I have an HP printer, so I am trying to install HP's hplip 3.25.6 program.

But these are some of the error messages that I get. Any suggestions?

sounds like a custom file maybe. look for a desktop file under ~/.local/share/applications

I found this file: com.skype.Client.desktop
Can I safely delete it?


yep. you can look inside it (its just a text file) and make sure the Name matches the menu entry you see, but likely you've found ...

Skype Flatpak Entry in Applications Menu [Solved]

I am using MX Linux 23 Xfce.

I successfully uninstalled Skype (the flatpak version) but when I do a search in Applications Menu it shows up as an entry. (It reads "Skype Flatpak") Of course, clicking on the entry's icon does not launch Skype...

Boot Flag

I am using MX Linux 23, 64-bit.

I noticed that my /dev/sda1 partition is marked with the "Boot" flag.
Is it because GRUB is installed there? Or GRUB does not have anything to do with it?

Can the Boot flag be installed on any other partition of the disk? What would the consequences be? Just curious ...
