Re: Is "Accept This Answer" button/concept counter-productive [Solved]

Can we please put this to rest?

Sorry, I thought this was the forum for members to discuss these sorts of ideas. In fact, you moved this topic to this specific forum. Are there certain topics that we are banned (or discouraged) from discussing ? I must admit that I am confused by this. But, let's ...

Re: Is "Accept This Answer" button/concept counter-productive [Solved]

the thing to avoid is editing the title...

Yeah, there's obvious issues with that. There used to be (perhaps on other BB's) ways to press a button that marks the thread solved - but does NOT attempt to identify one - or any - specific post(s) as "the solution". Having one of those, plus ...

What I started doing in a recent thread was...

This makes a lot of sense, and I really like this concept. It ALSO seems like a method someone could automate (which could help ensure that "reposting content" doesn't generate too much clutter).

Now, I have to do some studying on how to incorporate ...

Re: Is "Accept This Answer" button/concept counter-productive

I just don't know the proper way to mark a thread solved without using the button at the top of a single post - but you have the best answer so far.

Re: Is "Accept This Answer" button/concept counter-productive

I didn't mean to suggest not marking a problem/thread as solved. I was referring to threads with many, many posts and having to mark a single post as the solution to the problem. Re: Help with new project [Solved]

I absolutely love this new toy. Every time I walk into my "office" I first look at this big, beautiful weather-radar display and instantly know the short-term likelihood of thunderstorms in my part of the world (They pop up almost every afternoon at this time of year, and can be really severe. When ...
