MX 25 Xfce Bluetooth - new feature

#1 Post by FullScale4Me »

This would likely be a security enhancement, allowing the user to choose which devices are always automatically re-connected (Always accept) and those that are never allowed to re-connect (Deny). A provision for one time connection (Accept) is made too.

Reconnecting devices

Starting with MX Linux 25 Xfce a 'Bluetooth Authentication' popup appears when you power on a previously connected Bluetooth device when in range. FYI - Pairing and Trust are persistent on Linux installations. If you choose 'Always Accept' the device will finish connecting on its own for the next power on.

Above is what was added as a recent edit of my Bluetooth devices How-To PDF, updated September 25, 2025.

Yes, a smaller and transient one with no buttons is seen on MX 23.x

The new buttons allow zero-interaction re-connection without the security challenge. Something MX 23 doesn't offer due to Blueman 2.3.5 not having that feature.
